Default does someone who knows their stuff want to answer some questions??

Im going to be putting a cc503 in my z28 with 131000 miles. I have a few questions.

Self aligning pro mags OK?

Do I need lifter, if so, what are the cheapest ones? I know I can get GM OEM for $23 per lifter, but that’s going to put me over my $1200 budget.

Thanks for your help

Self aligners are fine. We use them all the time.
Re-use your stock lifters if nothings wrong with them. You can use rollers over and over.

Im 17, this is my first car (bought it myself) i dont plan on going much bigger than this.
i think with this cam, and the mods i have in my sig, plus the mileage on the car, i will be set for a while. if i really need more power after all this, ill spray.

knowing that, SA and stock lifters are good?

Yes, just fine. Just dont run SAs and guide plates at the same time.

I have the Comp Cams Magnum SA 1.6RR's with my 503 and they're great. With your mileage being so high I'd replace the lifters and go with the LS7 Lifters which are around $100 or so a set.

Yea you want a 7.2" length, get some Trickflow Hardened Chromemoly's from summit they run $87.
I dunno they shouldnt be alot of money Im guessing you got quoted a price from gm. The LS7 lifters are going for like $100-$140ish on ebay all the time.
