Default TA Cover/Girdle magnet?

I installed a T/A girdle recently and I don't remember seeing a magnet in it like you have with the oem cover. You would think it would come with one.

Is a magnet uncessary?

I realize aluminum will not attract a magnet like steel. Regardless of being aluminum, a magnet could be attached easily. The oem magnet is glued on and doesn't just "stick there".

I'm just curious why an aftermarket cover doesn't come with one.

Isn't the drain plug bolt itself magnetized?

Nope. I figured that would be the case also.

thse rears are so small and light weight,i wouldnt stress over a magnet. but wouldnt reccomend having one hanging around on a aluminum cover.
