Default high flow cat?

[will a high flow cat make the car louder? I'm wondering if it's worth putting on, since i'm ordering a magnaflow cat-back and i heard they are quiet. i've tried searching for this for like an hour and all anyone says is "just gut it" well i'm not gutting it, so can anyone tell me if a high flow will make it any louder?]thanks

The magnaflow cat has a nice tone to it. Slightly louder . Sounds way better than when i gutted my stocker. Car feels better with it as opposed to the gutted cat which made the car feel slugish to me.

I would reccomend it.

it will give the exhaust a different resonance as opposed to increasing the noise. a gutted cat will increase noise, and high flows usually smoothen out the rasp of loud exhausts.
