Default procharger question

well for all of you that are running pro chargers tell me whats going to be my best bet. im thinking of 2 setups. i want to fun either an f1 setup or d-1sc setup on my lt1. would it be better to run a front mount intercooler or the twin highflows that run with the kit. i really dont want to cut away the bumper but if its going to benefit that much the its a small price to pay. im not looking for a full out race car tho. im not looking for a full out race car, just something thats gunna scream and make the car faster. also if you have any pics of your procharger setups please post um.

unless you have a built big cube motor, the d1sc will be fine.

i went with the front mount because i didnt like all the extra piping on the twin intercoolers. you will have to cut some stuff to make the front mount work.

what are you mods also?

If you have a stock bottom end or you're not going to run more than 12 psi of boost, the stock twin intercoolers will work just fine. Check out our '95 Formula.

well the cars not done yet but it is going tobe completely built.but this is what is going in the car. a one of a kind 427 stroker lt1 engine built to handle up to 25 psi. afr 225 heads, ported intake to match and coverted for the arizona speed mono blade throttle body(1300cfm) bigger cam forgot the size though, milodon oil pan with racing oil pump, nasty performance fuel system with #96 injectors, Meizure elextric water pump. thats pretty much it for the motor. everything for the the suspension is all bmr extreme stuff. as for the bottom end, its going to be a strange 12 bolt with 4:11 gears. i mean its gunna be a fast car but i dont plan on using it for strip only and theres going tobe an onboard computer to monitor everything and tune and adjust as i go.

Since you have a 427, a D1 will be pushed to its limit feeding it. I would go with a F1-R and a large FMIC. Keeping the F1-R cool with twins will be hard.

You must be sleeving that LT1 into a 427. Why would you want to put so much stress on that engine w/ 25psi? The engines dont hold together long due to the high piston speed combined with thin cylinder walls. The largest I've seen w/ an LT1 is a 409ci and that was pushing it. You got a BIG wallet.
