Default Noob BOV Q?

Awhile back I orignally planned on going with an STS setup on my car and purchased a BOV (pic attached) from a friend of mine. I've just recently changed my mind and decided on going with a Procharger. My question is, even though the manufacture states that the spring is adjustable by using a boost controller, would there be a way to make this BOV work with my Procharger setup? BOV is 50mm and is from a non sponsor company, any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for info, I'm gonna do more research on this because I really don't want to sell this BOV and end up finding out that I would actually be able to use it on my setup.

the BOV (blow off valve) is not adjustable by a boost controller
a wastegate is adjustable by one, they are two different things

the BOV will work just fine with a supercharger.

the bov releases air in the intake tract when the throttle body closes so it will not stall the compressor (supercharger or turbo) it is usually needed on both applications

a wastegate releases exhaust gas so it doesnt spin the turbocharger as much this will control the boost and a boost controller modifies the air signal to what the wastegate is set for so it controls the boost.

just make sure you use the proper spring in that tial. Spring is based on vacuum at idle.
Silver Spring: 12 PSI - (between -22 and -23 in/Hg)
Silver Spring: 11 PSI - (between -18 and -21 in/Hg)
White Spring: 9 PSI - (between -14 and -17 in/Hg)
Black Spring: 7 PSI - (between -10 and -13 in/Hg)

Thanks for the info guys; I just finished putting everything together and for some reason after securing the scew on top of the BOV along with the silver piece in between it, the silver piece still continues to move. It's not supposed to do that right? JAvenger thanks for the spring info, that something that didn't come with this BOV and I will be purchasing that soon...

on supercharged cars, most people run bypass valves. im not sure on the difference between a bov and a bypass valve, i believe it has to do when they are open/close.

on mine (stock bpv that came with the kit) the valve is open and closes once i hit boost. no electronic hook ups, just one vacuum line.

hope that helps

I just opened the BOV and saw the spring pic attached),now my question is how do I handle the Banjo fitting issue? Also, do any of the sponsors sell springs?

if its a true tial, forced inductions might be able to get you the spring you need or call tial direct.

No it's not a true tial, it's actually a xs-power, I'll try checkin' out their site to see if they sell springs but if they don't, I wonder if a tial spring will work with this BOV?

Just be sure that you mount the BOV in the right place.

FYI when I say upstream I mean towards the blower and downstream means towards the TB.

Placement depends on if you want to vent to Atmosphere or not. If you vent to atmosphere you want the bov upstream from the maf. Because when it blows off its blowing off unmetered air.

If you had it downstream maf it would be like having a leak btw the maf and tb. This causes problems for alot of people because it lets out metered air.

nope. Their springs are different sized and different quality. The tial has a smaller groove on the inside that lets the spring seat around the middle. Theyll be tough getting springs for because they typically just include all the different sizes with your purchase.
