Default Valley cover question

I was doing a search yesterday on ls6 valley cover. I am hoping this will elliminate the need for a catch can. Anyway, I came across where someone said the 04 valley cover was a direct fit into 02 ls1, and was even better than the ls6 valley cover. Please advise me or post the link to this thread. This is the last thing I want to be sure of before I install my ls6 intake.

PM'd you & it will not be a direct fit unless you have an ls6 block... You will have to grind/cut off the casting tab in the front passenger side of the engine valley in order to fit the new cover... I've been running this set-up on my new motor for about 2000mi now & my intake is bone dry with no oil consumption.

The grommet & plug will be all u need.. The cover has the pcv in it & just uses the u-hose from it to the manifold.
