Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series and LSX Shootout - Is it possible to get a 9.0 index?
Just wondering, doesnt involve changing any rules or anything, just adding a line of text here and there :) I'm sure there are a couple other cars that may not fit the drag radial rules that may want to run all out..

KP doesn't want to slow down his car to 9.50 so can we add a 9.0 class? ;)
I think it might be too close to change something now, but I agree some cars may look at this class instead of the heads-up deal if created. We'll see what the powers say...

Like I posted on the NMCA board its not really changing anything, just adding another index. Even if it didnt make it to all the racers this late in the game hard to imagine someone getting pissed about it because they set their car up for 9.50 instead of 9.0.
Not a big deal really but its an index class so adding a quicker index isnt going to affect anything whatsoever except maybe a couple fast cars that dont fit the DR class may show up. No one likes to slow their car down 1/2 a second, at least I dont :)
I realize they probably dont want to pull any slow DR cars out of that class but i think most 9.0 capable guys that have committed to run in DR arent going to jump ship to the index class just because there was a 9.0 index added.

Good points KP, I know slowing mine down isn't something I look forward too either!

Its easy enough to slow down but didnt think it was that big of a deal really so why not ask. Not like I'm asking for weights to be changed in a heads up class or something so I can compete there. Figured open comp was 9.0 as the quickest index so why not have the same for the LSx guys..

kp... You've not been forgotten. The rules folk are discussing it, and will have something for you in a day or so at the latest.
I appreciate it Scott, like I said on the NMCA board its not a deal breaker for me, I plan on going either way. Just have to swap blowers to run 9.50.
By the look of it no one else seems to show any interest in it so dont change anything on my account. I thought maybe there was a couple guys that ran close to that didnt fit the DR class that would like to run a little quicker in the index but I guess not.

Okay kp (and anyone else who wants to hop on the 9-second index train). It's official... AAA/LSX will be the 9.00 class. See ya'll in Memphis.
Thats great and I appreciate it Scott.
I was going to run the car this weekend to see if I could squeak an eight second pass in but now I'll just wait for Memphis - would be pretty cool to do it there.
Just to be clear, the 9.0 index is just ADDED to the 14.0-9.50 LSX Shootout/index race. Not a seperate or standalone class.
Before:
AA/LSX 9.50
A/LSX 10.00
B/LSX 10.50
C/LSX 11.00
D/LSX 11.50
E/LSX 12.00
F/LSX 12.50
G/LSX 13.00
H/LSX 13.50
I/LSX 14.00
After:
AAA/LSX 9.00
AA/LSX 9.50
A/LSX 10.00
B/LSX 10.50
C/LSX 11.00
D/LSX 11.50
E/LSX 12.00
F/LSX 12.50
G/LSX 13.00
H/LSX 13.50
I/LSX 14.00
Pretty self explanatory, just dont want people getting confused this close to the event ;)

That's correct Kevin.
