I have heard of some running thre lightened flywheels, but I wouldn't suggest it. I just run the LS2 & it works just fine. Didn't lose any E.T. at the track, actually gained some.

The LS7 clutch has to be used with an LS2 style flywheel.

Fidanza makes an aluminum LS2 flywheel that will work.

Yes.

The LS7 clutch comes with an LS2 flywheel.

When used together, the two will mount to an LS1 motor.

so do you need the ls2 flywheel from a gto or corvette? Or are they the same.

Where can I pick one of these setups up?

SDParts.com has an LS7 clutch kit that includes the disc, pressure plate, and flywheel all together.
