Default o2s cauding bad missing? Corvette o2 p/n

Can o2s cause terrible missing and stumbling? The car switches over to closed loop and stays there. If an o2 was bad, wouldn't it move back to open loop?

I also get a DTC code for lean o2 reading.

I think at least one is frigged from when I ran open headers for a couple weeks. It doesn't cycle near as quick as it should.

Also, what is the proper part number for the Bosch o2s from the Vette to fit my LTs without extensions?

O2 sensors can do some odd things. That could be the problem, or maybe ignition (ie. burnt wire, loose connection, bad plugs)

Go ahead and replace the o2 sensor and see what happens. It's the flat connector too.

Same thing happened to me. Try the o2's first.

That's the plan. The ignition is all new except for the coil and opti.

If I unplug the O2s, the car will stay in open loop and I'll know if they're the culprit, correct?

Car ran like a raped ape in open loop. I went and bought o2s and the extensions are on the way.

No. Lots of things happen when closed loop kicks in. The o2's are what triggers closed loop, but it's not necessarily the problem if it runs like crap in closed loop.

But still, the o2 sensors are probably crap.

Explain what else it could have been, and remember that it just started out of nowhere. I was under the assumption that when the car went to closed loop, all that changed was the fact that the computer takes the sensor readings into consideration at part throttle to make fuel adjustments.

This is true. The chance of something else being the problem is little to none. These cars seem to have problems with the o2's as far as I can see on here and in my own experience. Change them and you'll be fine. If you unpluged them and the car ran fine it's not an opti or coil or anything else ignition related.

Correct. I was just wondering what he was talking about saying numerous things happen when the computer switches over to closed loop.

The o2s are my own fault. I'm pretty confident they started degrading as soon as I ran open headers for three weeks while waiting for my exhaust parts.
