If I bring a car that is say 346 (stock displacement) for the ALL MOTOR, and has no weight penalties per the rules, does that mean 2941 race weight (346 *8.5)?

In other words, if you are under 370 cid, do you just multiply by 8.5? Someone in the know please confirm. Thanks. Dave

the 8.5 lb/cid is if you are over the base CID, not under.

For example, if you had 380 cid you would be better off taking a 85lb hit (3235) then advancing to the 370-420cid base weight of 3300.

If you have a 402 then you are better off taking the 370-420 base weight of 3300 naturally then 3422lbs if you use the 8.5 per cid + 370. Little confusing but its a little more fair to the guys that are close to CID base weight. If you had a 371 it would suck to take the full weight hit that a 418 has to run at.

cliff notes: 3150lbs for a 350 :)

But it sucks for those bringing less than 370 cid N/A to the party. Why not give them a weight break?

Close the same reason my 346 would have to run at the same weight as a 500cid engine in the power adder class lol.

Zero to 370CID equals 3150lbs. It would have just been easier to say minimum weight is 3150..

Thats just the way it is..

420ci = 3300lbs.
7ci x 8.5lbs = 60 (roughly)

427 = 3360lbs.
