Default Help please... Steering shaft is driving me up the wall

Hey, I'm doing a header install and just finished up the passenger side. I tried to slip the pacesetter lt up on the driver's side and it was a no go. It hits the steering shaft. So I figure I'll just slip off the shaft and all would be good. It's been 3 hours now and I can't get the damn thing to budge more than 1/2 an inch. I've been prying at it, hitting it with a rubber mallet, everything I can think of. What am I missing here?

Nevermind, finally got it after a few beers and a ton of whacks with a rubber mallet.
