Newb from Missouri no car yet
Hey whats up ran across this site through friends owning f-bodies and loving f-bodies. Actually used to own a V-6 car loved it but it wasn't what I really wanted. It was my first car and my parents bought it for me so I guess I can't complain. Been looking off and on for a car for a while now, can't find much within driving distance thats in halfway decent shape and hasn't had it's ***** run off. Looking to spend in the 9k-13k range would prefer an A4 and leather and preferably stock.

Welcome! In the 9k-13k range, there isn't gonna b much of a selection. Not all, but a lot of them will have very high mileage, not taken care of, modded to hell n back, no leather n more than likely it'll b a manual. Just go up a notch in the price range n you'll see a lot more in what you're wanting. Good luck man.

I like both the Birds and the Camaros, I definitely want a 4th Gen car. Correct me if I'm wrong but, I would think that mods would increase the price of the car, because the owner who put the money into the car would want to get some of the money back that he put into mods. Opposed to a stock car which the owner would not have to make up the difference. And aren't M6's preferable to F-Body owners and wouldn't that also make the price go up.

^one would think, but actually people won't pay any more for mods because many believe its usually a tell tale sign that its been beat on (not necesarrily true but believed by most), you'll pay more for the condition of the paint and interior imo and mileage of course. I think m6's in good shape are harder to find, especially modded ones.

I don't mind minor mods like exhaust, headers, wheels/tires, etc., but when you start digging into the internals of the engine and the tranny, that's when I start asking questions. I know that not everyone drives like an idiot but, we are buying these cars buyer beware, and I would hate to buy a car and a whole bunch of major crap start going wrong.

I disagree...there are lots of really nice cars in that price range for sale.
I originally paid $9200 for my 2001 Z28 w 68k miles...sold it for $9500 with 72k miles.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. Seems like a really good informational source for these cars. Good luck with the sale glidehaus, great looking car and love that color just a few to many miles for me to start out with.
