Drag Racing Tech - Who makes the best 4.30's/4.33's for 12 bolts? *DELETED*

I have heard nothing but bad about Richmond gears. They are a race only gear, not for the street. I used to have Motive, and now have Moser 4.30s. Just as quiet as stock.

Richmond's are the strongest gear out there for the 12 bolt, they are also the loudest. I have Richmond 4.33's in my 12 bolt and the are pretty loud on the highway, nothing a loud stereo and exhsust can't fix :devil: I know Superior makes a pretty quiet gear as does Strange but they won't be as strong as the Richmond's.

My installer said the 10 bolt Richmonds are really bad, but the 12 bolt Richmonds are pretty quiet. I'm not sure of the truth to this.

To be honest I'm looking for quietness over strength.

I have Richmond 4.33s in my 12-bolt for the summer. They are super quiet after 2000 hard miles. I did set them up myself, so who knows. lol

I have had Strange 4.56s and they were pretty noisy, but I didn't let those break in at all. ;)

It seems everyone has different experiences with the different gears...maybe they're all about the same but the determining factor is the setup? Who knows.
