Default Took My T/A To Tha Tracks Lastnight...

I decided to take my car down to the tracks lastnight when all my friends went. I was only able to run it twice because it was so damn packed. This was my first time taking the T/A to the tracks, and only my third time ever running a car. My first run was a 14.1 and I wasn't very satisfied, so I decided to run again. My second run was a 13.9, which isn't bad for a basically stock car. It's a '96 Trans Am A4 with just a Flowmaster muffler and a Moroso cold air intake. My first run was up again a '00-'02 Camaro SS that had alot of mods, ran a 12.6 but I took it off the line . My second run was against a damn fully built Plymouth Dart or somethin' that ran a 11.6 or so, I also took him off the line but not by much. Can't wait till I install my long tubes and true dual set up next weekend!

which track were you at? HRP,Motorplex?
depending on the DA will dictate your ET. HRP @ this time of the year should be nice weather and from my experience @ HRP i would run 13.8 w/1.9 60' times back in the mid 90's when our cars were new so you are only a tenth or two off with your mods.plugs, wires fuel filter could play a role in this.

I went to San Antonio Raceway. I'm only like an hour and 15 minutes away from there so it's not that bad of a drive.

My 60' was a damn 2.1. I couldn't hook up for crap lastnight. I'm going to buy me some drag radials but I just bought LT's and a true dual set up this past week so I gotta save up some more $.

not bad for a bit of tirespin.i have true duals with 1ch.flos i love the way it sounds, its wayyy different than any other ex. sound from a late style f-body.
i hope you put a 3200 stall into your set up also,to get the maximum launch on those DR's.

Yeah if I decide to keep it thats what I had planned. I might trade my car for an '03 F150 that is lifted up 9" with 38" tires. I'll turn around and sale the truck for a good $15K and buy another LT1 and build the **** out of it. The guy who wants to trade me for the truck has so much money he doesn't know when to do with it. He wants my car bad so I guess I'll trade him.

Yeah but if your to see the truck you would trade! It's nice.. I'm about to head out to where the truck is parked to go look at it with my friend. I'll try and get some pics. posted if I can find a camera. My Dad told me to trade my T/A for the truck, sale the truck and buy a Corvette. It sure would look nice seeing two Corvette parked in front of my house (my Dad has one).

Hell, if you hook up and get that 60 down, you should be almost or mid 13s. Which would leave me to think I'd be lower 13s.
