Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - My new Trans Am WS6!

Hey all. I just purchased a 1996 Trans Am WS6. It only has 79k miles. I drove about 4hrs one way to go pick it up. I love it! It came with silver WS6 wheels, with brand new Fuzion's. I already had the ZR1's, so I threw them on. Ignore the license plate, that's off my thirdgen until I get a chance to get registration. You can see my '91 hiding beside the garage in the last pic. The photos pretty much speak for themselves.

LT1's look so much better than LS1's, whether you're talking about Camaros or Firebirds/TA's, especially SS's and WS6's.

When you think about it, I guess a 96 is pretty much "oldscl". :burn:

sorry only the camaros look good for lt1's but ls1 the t/a look alot better. not a big fan of ls1 camaro looks wise. i have a lt1 camaro and ls6 t/a but the t/a in lt1 years the front just kind of looks like a boat. camaro in ls1 years looks like it got punched in the nose.

but either way good job on finding a clean lt1 hope you like it.

Thats a matter of personal opinion. i like LT1s but Ls1s look 100x better...but again, just my opinion.

personal taste, Ive always thought the ZR1s look great on the vettes and camaros, but always thought they clashed with the TAs smooth lines

I think they only look good in black on a WS6.

Thanks for the comments guys. Im in the St Joe/Kansas City area. I do agree that the LT1 looks better than LS1 cars, but that is a matter of opinion. That is the major reason I purchased this car over an LS1.

As far as plans for the 3rd gen, I want to give it a total restoration, and probably an LS1 but that is going to be a long time from now, so Ive got a while to think about it. (And save up lol)

I think the ZR1's look pretty nice on there, but soon I'm going to polish the WS6 wheels and throw them back on. Plus they have better tires.

The only reason I would put Zr1s on a bird is because they are cheap to get in 11' width. You do have a very nice car. It will look better with the polished ws6s back on. I like both the Lt1 and Ls1 birds looks wise but in different ways.
