Default Pictures of the Formula pulled apart

Pictures from the top

My friend Adam *Not me!*

There she is in all of her glory

Cool picture from the back on my frame lift

So - story goes I throw this thing on my lift to change some manifold gaskets (yes I know there are more gaskets out on it then I would care to explain but you can only afford so little at a time.) anyways, to my amazement there is a bolt sheared off in the front of the head on the driver side for the manifold and one in the back of the head on the passenger side. - I'm amazed that it didn't start leaking sooner but man I guess manifold gaskets are just that well made.

So, upon further inspection the decision was made to drop the k - frame and go ahead and replace all the seals I can afford to replace drill out the studs in the side of the head and clean up the motor/engine bay while I have the chance.
Thanks for the help some of you guys gave me with the info on how to do this – also any help with seal replacement kits and possibly bushing kits would be awesome!

Seems like overkill to replace some gaskets and seals. But hey while the motor is out might as well do a rebuild.

Hey if you got the tools use em After the first time I dropped my motor using a lift I can get it done in about 45 minutes. Afterwards everything is right there and you don't have to worry about contorting yourself or running out of room to do stuff. It just makes it ten times easier with the motor out IMHO.

Yeah, well we had limited space inside the shop it works as a car/cotton gen repair shop and we also have a drive on lift inside but a buddy has a 71 dodge dart sitting on it and I needed the frame lift anyways to lift it up because of the k-member. . .I figured dropping the K-member would be easyer then pulling off the heads cutting up my knuckles and having limited room inside the engine bay to work in. - Now I'll just replace all the seals I can afford and slide it right back in easy as cake.

- thanks for all the comments and yes I love the color of this car it looks beautiful in the light like that I figured that was a Kodak momment as they say lol. . . .

ha mines the exact same color but only a camaro..i get loads of comments on the paint but im just not sure I like it..but mine has the black top and mirrors...sounds like a cam and a few other parts are in order..I went to do a simple rebuild on mine and ended up leaving the motor out for 5 months so i could do the lil odds and end things since the motor was out and I got the money over those couple months to buy all teh parts...i figured I would only have the motor out this time I might as well replace all the lil stuff as well..you will start seeing stuff you wanna change in there lol
