Default TP sensor reading at idle?

What should the throttle position be reading at idle? I have a ported throttle body and it is ready 5%-7%. Is there an adjustement for this?

Don't know about the % part, but it should be at .6 volts. You can adjust it by turning the torx screw under the throttle stop.

Assuming a 5 volt reference voltage for TPS then 0.6 volts would read 12% in a scan tool.

i.e. (0.6*100)/5.0=12%

Honez is right. It should be 0% when closed at idle. If your TPS is at 5% or above your NOT idling any more. I'd like to know what your idle speed is at 5% TPS with closed(ALMOST) throttle? Your TPS voltage should be NEAR 0.6 VDC at closed throttle using a DIGITAL VOM(stick a tiny sewing needle into the blue wire on the TPS to measure the voltage) or 0% using AutoTap or EFILiveV5.

That would not be static in all cases, in a C5 since idle is controlled by the T.B stepper motor setting butterfly angle as RPMs would be higher at cold idle ( cell 20) and TPS would report higher value, as engine warmed up the idle RPMs drop and so does the TPS angle.
That also would change if AC was on and in the case of a non stock cam idle would be different and thus TPS would be mom zerp.

I would assume on F-body depending what idle screw was set to would also change TPS angle.
In general at idle TPS is around 5-8% at warm idle, A/C off.
