Default aluminum driveshaft

do 02 t/a s come stock with aluminum driveshafts because mine has one and was wondering if its stock or not

NO. You should have the better STEEL one and let me have your aluminum DS. BTW, I have a steel one, we can trade.

I believe they all do expect the 2.73 A4's All the other's come with an aluminum (3.23 A4's included)

pretty much.. 2.73 gear cars got steel DS's and I've seen lots of stock AL DS's tear in half in the center so I was glad when my car had a steel one.

It should have an aluminun.. My 02 donor T/A has an aluminum one with 6spd..

i broke mine. it was warantied but i have an LPE DS now.

i was thinking about putting aluminum DS in mine just to see if it would help me at the track? my car has a steel one at the moment and it is pretty heavy

AL DS is fine just don't use a stock AL one. Aftermarket ones have a plenty strong unless you are pushing a Ton of hp and it will shave rotating weight of the car.
