Fluid Damper Key-index??
I purchased a SFI approved fluid damper from raceparts a while back. Well, now I am assembling my motor and I notice that the damper has a key-index. Do I have to get a key-index machined in my crank snout or can I install this like the stock one? I already have my shortblock balanced and assembled so I don't want to tear it down and take my crank into a machine shop. Please help
Thanks
Josh

Re: Fluid Damper Key-index??
Be careful with that damper...
I have the same one, and it broke all 6 bolts that hold the pulley portion to the hub.
If I had to do it over again, I would remove the crappy bolts that come installed in it, and install grade 8 hardware in their place.

Thanks for the heads up George!! Where can I get the hardware. Not a big deal since I somehow misplaced the hardware fot the ac pulley so I need to buy them anyway.
Thanks
