Default Egr/air Removal

So Ive done a bunch of searches and ive found out how to do the air removal which ill be doing soon. I cant seem to find anything on the egr removal. If anyone knows where i could find a writeup for that id like to know. Also I know a lot of ppl have the ses light come on after removing these things. Are there any cons to having that light come on other than the light. My car wont be running funky because of the light coming on will it? TIA

It's just a light.

Make sure you have an EGR block off plate and a manifold plug. Then just undo the bolt on the top of the manifold, undo the electrical connector, undo the 2 bolts on the exhaust manifold, and take out the 3 (I think) bolts on the head. Then simply bolt on the block off plate and hammer in the mani plug. That's it.

i ribbed it out,

made me some block of plates for the headers, ribbed the whole pcv system of and used a 01-02 pcv system, took the air pump out,

its great to not hear the damn pump go on anymore.. and not have to look at all the hoses anymore

So since I'll be changing to an LS6 without EGR provisions I'm planning on removing both EGR and Air when I install the LS6. Your saying it won't hurt go without both until I can get the car tuned and the codes deleted?

Your in California.. if you take the Smog test with a SES light lite up.. you'll fail the test. Get it flashed out.
