Default Can I hit 12's?

I went to the track this past Saturday and was quite disappointed. It was about 70 degrees but really humid. I have pacesetter lt's, tsp catted y, cutout, volant intake, self ported tb, g-force dyno tune, msd wires/ngk plugs, all the free mods , crappy 275 street tires, stock clutch and 80k miles. I was hoping for anything in the range of 12.8 to 13.2 with a 110+ trap speed. First off I just want to say I cant launch this car at all. Ive tried everything, slow dump, slipping the clutch, launching at 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000. I only have 3 runs on my current setup but about 9 or 10 runs total, and I have never had better than a 2.3xx 60 ft time. My car dynoed low as well, only 332/347 SAE.
Here was my best (2nd) run of the night:

60ft 2.36
1/8 et 9.00
1/8mph: 83.58
1/4 et:13.64
1/4 mph:106.33

Pathetic I know... the other 2 runs were a 13.77 @ 105.93 (2.39 60ft, 1st run) and 13.8 @ 106.03 (2.40 60 ft, last run)

Now my questions. IF, I can cut a 2.0x or 2.1x 60 ft could I be in the 12s? If not what would it take? What is the best way for me to launch the car without killing the 10 bolt? (ive researched but have found conflicting results) Is my car unusually low on power considering the low trap speed? And lastly, would a new clutch help? I felt the clutch slipping quite a bit on the last run. FWIW, I went 13.85 @103.9 with the volant, p&p tb and cutout.

Thanks guys, im just really discouraged about my car right now and my driving Any help, comments, and/or criticism is greatly appreciated..

Generally every 10th off your 60 is about 2 tenths off your 1/4 time so if u could cut a 2.0x with good air you could run a 12. Only advice i can give on launching it is practice practice practice. Im sure someone will chime in with some more help. And yes your car does have the mods / power for 12's.

If all else fails throw a set of drag radials on there.

Put some DR on there and launch at 4000RPM and you should hit mid 12's I have been doing it for a while now with almost the same set up and my driveshaft went first. The rear shows no sign of going out. Good luck tho, but it shouldn't be too hard with your set up.

Ok good, so it sounds like I should be able to hit the 12's. I guess I will just have to go find a place to practice my launches lol. Josh what kind of 60 ft times are you cutting to run mid-low 12's? I dont know if im gonna get DR yet just because I cant afford a new rear. I know with my luck it would explode on me. Just not a risk im willing to take quite yet.

I am cutting 1.50 to 1.60 60' times now with all of the suspension mods with the DR's. There are about 5 of us where I live that all use DR's with the stock 10 bolt for about 3 years and have not broken them yet. One of the guys clutch dumps at 5500RPM's. I can not say for sure but it should be ok. But only you can try it out and find your sweet spot. But mine is 4000RPM's off the line.

I would not recommend dumping the clutch on that rear end much at any RPM. If you're going to get into racing your car and are serious, the first thing you should buy is a better rear end.

I've broken a 10 bolt more than I'd care to admit, but that's racing.

If you have any other questions on tuning the car I'd be more than happy to help.
