Default Need help with driveline angle...

I've been having issues with getting my car to hook, and I think it might be my pinion or driveline angle. I've played with it several times and it seems to be alittle better, but the 60' is still not as good as what I think it should be. The best 60' is a 1.463 on 28" ET Drags. It still felt like it spun or shook alittle off the line. Just want alittle insight from someone to let me know if the angles are close or if I'm way off. I know it's hard to get good info and people that have taken time to find it don't like to tell, but I'm just looking for a direction to go. So, here's some angles that I have come up with.

Tranny is pointed down ~3* at tailshaft.
Driveshaft is angled down 2*
Rearend is down in front (pinion side) 2.5*
Car has a nose down 1* rake (measured off of subframe connectors)

I know this sounds retarded, but just want to know. I also have had the car on the scales and it has 48% of the weight on the rear. Rear suspension consists of:
rod ended control arms w/relocation brackets and panhard rod
spohn subframe mounted TQ arm
QA1 12-ways
stock sway bar
removed upper panhard
stock springs

If you would like more info I'll gladly post it, but like I said, just a direction would be good. Thanks.

Chris

All the numbers are alot like my setup (1.43 60ft), and depending on the track prep you are in the ballpark. Whats your engine tq and hp numbers, maybe you just need more motor (only judging by your trap speed of 120), I know I do and I'm trapping 135 with a used up N/A 346.

IF the trans is pointed down 3 the pinion should be pointed UP 1 so they will be parallel at the launch

Thanks for the reply's. Not sure what my car makes power wise. It's pretty much a cam only 6ltr, just with a big converter and steep gears. Hopefully beable to get heads this winter, but just want it to be the best it can right now. I know I can probably play with the shocks, but figured if these were off, then I'd be wasting my time. I really appreciate your help.

onfire: So you're saying I should set my pinion where it's pointing up 1*? When I first bought the TQ arm I think it was like up 2* and it wouldn't hook for crap. Ever since I've taken it down it's been better, just want to see if I can better it now. Thanks.

What shock settings and tire pressures? The suspension other wise is right. The 60fts sound close.

Front shocks (12-way QA1's) are set at: 3 Rear shocks are set at 4 on driverside and 5 on passenger side. ET Fronts are at 40 psi and ET Drags from 12-15 depending. Thanks again. Like I said, haven't got to play with shocks too much because I wasn't sure about angles and I know I need a sway bar bad. Thanks.
