No problem Steve, glad to help.

The bore spacing has nothing to do with exhaust spacing, example SBC.

Well the bore spacing numbers are close to what the guy at work said, my point was maybe the guy at work was thinking bore spacing and not exhaust port spacing.

And I disagree that bore spacing has nothing to do with exhaust port spacing ON A BIG BLOCK CHEVY.

Notice how your number for port spacing is the same number as bore spacing? Thats because the exhaust ports are in the same location on each cylinder. If they are in the same location on each cylinder then the port spacing should be the same as the bore spacing.

As you even quoted, I said SBC. My point was don't just automatically use bore spacing. Not all exhaust ports are symetrical. Obviously I'm not going to list every head ever made. Read what was posted. Sorry I was't clearer. Also they have 5.1 & 5.2 blocks & heads now. Expensive, outlaw P/M mostly.

I understand completely but we're talking about big block chevys in this thread. Thats why I left the SBC in your quote and used capital letters in this quote
I disagree that bore spacing has nothing to do with exhaust port spacing ON A BIG BLOCK CHEVY.
This way no one has to list every head ever made. And anyone reading this three years from now hopefully won't get confused.
