Default Gear Ratio!
What exactly does changing the gear ration do for the car. I have a 02 WS6 A4. What would be the best gears for my ride?

changing gears helps the car accelerate faster but before you change out the gears try adding a stall converter for more acceleration! and remember this just about everytime you mod these LS1's you have to "tweak" the computer!

^^^ omega is right. stall that bitch. Most autos use 3.73's to answer your question. its a nice upgrade.

i would say if you daily 3.73 but if you weekend 4.10's

Your WS6 should already have a 3.23, so I would recommend a stall first. JMO.

Stock 3.23's and just get a 3200 stall

stall first, then get 3;73's, you cant go wrong with that gear ratio.

If you dont want to drag it dont worry about a stall. I changed to 3.73 with only some bolt ons and love it. I do plan on stalling mine but if I just wanted to be faster I would stick with the gears and cam it.
