Exclamation Oil Preassure need help quick!!!

Well I just picked up my 98 TA from the shop had to have a new radiator. Well I was sitting at the redlight and the temp was 210. The oil psi went down to 20 and 25 and jumped up and down between that. Well i turned off my air conditioning off and it quit. I drove for awhile and the temp in my car went down to 160. The oil Psi went back to the way it was before 30psi idling 40 psi crusing and 60psi wot. I have only had this car a week but that's the first time it jumped down below 30 and jumped around like that. Is this a good sign of my oil pump going out or what could it be. The car has 166,000 miles on it but it still runs 8.7 int eh 1/8th mile...bone stock. Im really worried about this thought.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

might just be an oil pressure switch.

My oil pressure did that once after a short cruise. It's a 2002 with 38,9xx miles.
The temp fluctuation might just be air in the system that should bleed itself out.

Well when my ls6 intake gets here im gonna replace the sending unit to see if that fixes it. I mean it's idling at 30 and hitting 60psi on wot. Im fixing to install headers and intke,Ported TB,cold air intake K&N open air fliter this weekend. I was just gonna by a new oild pump but there is no tapping no noises not anything...you think i should worry it wait and see if it gets any worse..? I was thinking that also because I just had that radiator put in and the temp went up for awhile but dropped back down...I love the Ls1 but sometiems there just not a team player.

These cars can be a bitch to get all the air out of the cooling system. The shop should have taken care of that though. Could also be a sticky thermostat. High coolant temp= lower oil pressure. If the gauges stay normal now I wouldn't try to fix something that's not broke. I'd check the coolant level to see if it's ok. Wouldn't hurt to ask the shop to have a look at it since it acted up right after they worked on it.

Might be a good idea to replace the stock oil pump with a ported ls6 oil pump regardless. Pretty easy swap and def a good idea as my 98 ls1 oil pump was crapping out on me at 50K miles.
