should I go STS or Procharger?
The car is a daily driver. The motor is a forged 347. CR will be shooting around 9.5: 1. m6. I'll be putting a "blower" cam in the setup. Probably stock LS6 heads. The bad thing is, I won't be able to upgrade the 10 bolt to a 9" or 12 bolt for awhile. I understand STS turbo kits are usually cheaper than say a Procharger kit. That would help me get closer to the 9" or 12 bolt goal by going STS. However, I hear for a daily driver I should get the Procharger since it's more reliable? Reliability is key for me, it being a daily driver. I see turbo & track numbers are better than supercharger, but either will be enough for me. It won't see hard launches, burn outs, or track very often. What are the disadvantages/advantages of turbo? Is there any other FI I should look into besides STS & Procharger? I want to keep my A/C. Thanks!

I hate saying this because it's such a vague statement but truthfully how much money are you willing to spend? What are your goals? IMO either one of those setups would be nice and both produce some very nice numbers but based off of indirect experience I myself choose to go with a Procharger setup. Each kit has it's pros and cons but that's entirely up to you to decide which pros and cons you're willing to except and not except. One has ground clearance issues, the other is doesn't allow you to easily up your Boost.

Procharger without question. I have the D1SC race kit and its awesome. I made 470 hp with a blower cam and only 7 psi of boost. If my internals were forged like yours you could build and absolute monster. I still get around 28 mpg on the highway too.

if its between those two, then procharger. Reliable and plenty of backing from sponsors and the company itself.
IMO save up and go either Gen TT or APS, whichever looks best to you.

It's up to you really man, I have driven both and currently my GTO is STS turbo. I love it without a doubt.
But if you are building a car for the track go procharger, for the street STS has my vote.

So we've got almost everyone saying Procharger and a few saying turbo. I won't be doing this project til' Spring when the funds will be available, so I've got plenty of time to decide.

If you want your Procharger cheaper, look at a used one. There's always a couple for sale and for a great deal. Thats what I did.
I love my Procharger, never been in a turbo'd car though. But I do know that its a pretty easy install compared to a turbo. Turbos seem to have better torque numbers.

prochargers are a tried and true setup. great power, and reliability, turbos are more work, harder to setup but onces setup are pretty much unbeatable in similar cars and similar boost levels.

I've been seeing many guys having problems getting the turbo to work after the install. Looks like I'm going to search the classifieds for a Procharger in a few months unless someone can change my mind.
