The insert grill on the SS hood???

The insert grill on the SS hood??? I want to take out and paint the insert grill on my stock SS hood. Does anyone know if and how it comes out? I just want it to be glossy black again.

Yes it comes out. There are 2 tabs on the top and bottom. If you gently pry up on them one at a time and pull out you should be able to pop it out. Be careful not to break it if it's brittle.
