Default Rear Suspension Mods for Drag racing

I am having a 12 bolt put on in about 2 weeks and i really want to get my rear suspension done since i am going to have it all apart here is the parts i am looking to replace

Moser 12 bolt Rear Axle (of course)
Willwood Rear brakes
LCA Relocation brackets
LCA's
Springs
Panhard Bar
Shocks
SFC

I am not sure what Brands I should get. Also what about single/double adjustable vs nonadjustable....I just have alot of questions.

What kind of setup has everyone gone with on here and do you like it??

thanks
Dustin

Dustin your going to want an adj panhard rod to center the rear under the car.
Adj LCA's. stock springs out back will work and if ya have the cash some strange or QA1 shocks. Perferably double adj out back.
The SFC's are up to you. Tubular if you dont have the ground clearance and box if ya do.
If your serious about drag racing then there are two thing you forgot.
One was a drag sway bar.
There is BMR's (wich i have) wolfes, and Madmans.
and a TQ Arm.

That should about do it.

Kyle

""Edit"" for got to add what i have.

Strange DA shocks all around.
I run the body Mount Spohn TQ Arm
BMR Drag swaybar.
Billingsly DA offset LCA's
BMR ADJ PHR.

I would get at least single if not double adjustable on everything. You never know when you are going to go bigger or possibly lower the car. This is what I run on my car:

UMI boxed subframe connectors
UMI chrome moly torque arm
Spohn lower control arm relocation brackets
Pavlock rod ended double adjustable aluminum lower control arms
Pavlock rod ended double adjustable aluminum panhard rod
Spohn chrome moly 1" rear sway bar
QA1 "R" front drag shocks w/ 275lb drag springs
Competition Engineering rear drag shocks w/ stock, cut springs
Lakewood driveshaft safety loop

They came off of Jugger's 9 second H/C car, so I know they work and that cutting them didn't affect the spring rate that much.

I chose to go double adj. on everything I could, so that I never have to worry about changing anything down the road, no matter how fast I go (well, no faster than 9's )

Afco coil over D/A shocks with 325 springs in the front
!front sway bar
BMR tubular K member
BMR boxed SFCs
BMR extreme chassis mounted TA
QA1 D/A rear shocks, stock springs
BMR Extreme Adj LCAs (poly poly), though I am going to switch to double spherical rod ends
BMR Adj. PHB (poly poly), but I may switch that too to spherical rod ends
Spohn rear drag bar with adj. end links
Moser 12 bolt, Eaton Posi, 4.11s
M/T Drag Radials 325/50/15

Now all I have to do is put it all on

I HIGHLY recommend Double Adj. shocks if you can swing it

thanks for all the advise guys....Yea I know i missed the rear sway bar and the torque arm....I onlt did that because you can;t get an adjustablt sway bar and i am pretty sure I am going with the brm extreme sway bar anayways

Also I didn;t include the TQ arm because next year I am going to do either a 4l80 or th400 tranny swap and I will have to deal with the TQ then

I would run a Madman torque arm. Then it doesn't matter what trans you throw in the car because it bolts up to the supplied crossmember.

Or the BMR extreme, both very good. I would say the MADMAN is nice because of the adjustable mount near the corssmember!
I have the BMR Extreme TA with crossmount.

Dont use eibach drag launch springs and anti rollbar and lots of power will cause car to pull on the big end have seen it more than once but if you need drag springs to hook prolly not putting alot to the ground or you would be on the bumper. also if you use a short T/A you dont need the relocation brackes unless the car is very low

My setup works pretty good so far but your right I am not putting alot of power through it just yet.
Car is actually pretty high and I am using a long TA. I was just thinking relo brackets for the future as the car hooks pretty good right now and I don't even have the anti roll bar hooked up yet. Air bag and shock settings are compensating pretty well for right now.

You need an anti roll bar for drag racing. The airbag is a crutch. My car launches a lot straighter with the Spohn bar than it did with the airbag.

I am not bashing just went down the samre road when the car was bolt ons and a little gas with the springs it would dead hook on the street. but when we got to around 600 to 700 to the ground is when the problems started .

I love constructive criticism.
I will hook the anti roll bar up at the track, I just don't want to break rod ends on the street.
I doubt I will ever put down more than 550 or 600 horse.
But I have no qualms changing parts if the need arises.

Thanks for the tips.
