Default H/C swap w/ stock TB & LS6 Intake...

How many of you are running an aftermarket H/C setup with the factory TB and LS6 intake? How does it drive? Wish you would have went FAST? Ported FAST TB? Want to know if those with factory are still pleased...

Just checking what the majority has to say because i don't necessarily have the funds to up my TB and intake, i'm dishin' it all out on the H/C setup... Just want to make sure i'm not choosing the short straw.

I just did a heads and cam swap this summer and still have the factory TB and LS6 intake. I'm happy with it. I put down 415 HP and 400 Torque. It drives great now that its been tuned!

I had the stock TB and LS6 intake on ym TA for a while after the H/C went on and it ran great. I just installed the FAST 90/90 and the car is a total monster above 3500

I went all out and got the Ported FAST 90 with mine. I really didn't have the cash (Credit card. Cha Ching.) but after talking about it with my tuner, he said it would be beneficial to pick it up now before the dyno tune. If I did my H/C swap, left my LS6 intake on, got tuned, picked up a FAST later, it would cost me $250 to re-tune my car with the FAST 90 on it. The way I figured it I saved $250 for a mod I knew I would do eventually, but it happened sooner than expected.

I wish you wouldn't have said that..

Now I'm going to have to find a way to get the FAST before the tune..

Score a FAST. If you are going to get a set of heads or a cam or both it is not a bad plan. You just have to decide if it is worth 50$ for 1.5rwhp ratio.

Yeh, that's the debate for me right now..

I've pretty much assembled my heads/cam swap package.. I still need a few things.. Lifters, injectors, gaskets.. But other than that I am set..

Trying to decide if I want to sell the LS6 and try and pony up for the FAST..

I plan on sticking w/ the LS6 (like i said, don't have the money) for the time being. I know people are going to shun me for not upgrading to FAST but i simply don't have the necessary funds. As long as i can make >400 with full bolt ons and H/C w/ a 3.73 rear, i should be happy.

Anyone else want to cast their .02?
