Default LS1 MAP Sensor

The MAP Sensor on the LS1 manifold is on the back of the manifold and impossible to get to without removing the manifold, at least as far as I can tell. Can anyone tell me if:
a) The hose exiting the MAP sensor can be tapped for use by an external MAP sensor.
b) If it can be, where doe’s the hose go from the MAP? I’m hoping I can locate it in a more easily accessible location to tap into it.

I wouldn't mess with tapping into the MAP or the hoses that run to it behind the intake. Dont know where it goes after it leaves the back of the intake all i know is you have no space back there and i wouldn't want to mess with the hoses because of how big of a pain in the *** they are.

I wouldn't mess with it either.

Are you just trying to replace it?

Not replacing it. I have a Maximizer II for my nitrous installation and it will log/monitor MAP along with a number of other things. It's not a must have since I'm not installing a turbo or supercharger, but if I can access the MAP without too much trouble, I'd like to add it to my log.

Um I dont think it will be a bitch, if you need to monitor manifold pressure just put a t-fitting into the brake booster hose. Then connect you maximizer to that. Thats where that hose comes from, right next to the MAP. I would just leave the stock one there (it cant hurt anything) and do that.

I cant see a problem with that but maybe someone here has a better understanding then me about it

I suspected that was the same hose and it's easy enough to get to. I'll take a stab at it.

Thanks
