Whats the opinions on Edelbrock v.s Hooker? Will it even work?
I've narrowed down my choices to either the coated Edelbrocks or the coated Hooker Super Comp LT's. Just curious which you guys would choose out of THOSE TWO.
I DO NOT CARE about QTP, KOOKS, or AR!! I will not get any of those so no need to suggest them. I've thought about Pacesetter, but i'd rather get a higher quality header, for a little more money.
Second question, which might answer my first.... These headers will be going with the TSP true duals which are 3". The Edelbrocks have 3.5" collectors, so what would i have to do to get the Edelbrocks to work?

I suppose i should have added what my expectations are with the car. I'd like 400rwhp N/A and i'll be installing either a TR 227/224 OR TR 227/227 cam. Don't EVER plan on doing heads.

I would go with Edelbrock's hands down because they're a better design.
Only question is, are you getting the ceramic coated Edelbrocks or the Ti-tech coated Edelbrocks? It's important to know the Ti-tech coated Edelbrocks are basically a glorified painted header. The ceramic coated Edelbrocks would be money better spent because it's only a matter of time until the Ti-tech paint comes off, but unfortunately, they're more expensive.

for the price, the Edelbrock part # 65703 (tri-tech) is hard to beat!
they will require some welding in one way or another. O2 bungs need 3/4" holes drilled and welded on and you either use the weld on collector tabs or have the collectors completely welded onto the primaries. that is for that specific part#. you can spend another $70 or so and get the headers fully welded from Edelbrock but i do not know if it comes with everything the 65703 has...
i think the Hookers are a straight 1-7/8" primary while the Edelbrock are stepped 3/4"- 7/8"
i dont think you could go wrong with either of them!
i ran Hookers on my last car and Edelbrocks on this one. they are both a good header for the $.
you should be able to buy reducers 3.5" to 3" to mate up to the TSP duals. someone somewhere has to make them! a little research should net the result.

I have had 3 sets of Hookers on 2 F-bodies. All sets were Jet-Hot coated and they all had peeling coating/rust within 6 months. This on daily drivers in the mid-atlantic region. I think the Hookers are great but I would try the Edelbrocks due to the stepped design, HVMC, and velocity spike. I would get the Ti-Tech "coated" Edels (that have all the aformentioned features) and not worry about the coating. Good luck.
