Default PA light weight spindles?

A friend found these. http://paracing.com/index.php?cPath=...1a8f7cb70df3df

It says they weigh 6.5 pounds each I wonder how much the stock ones weigh? I sent them an email 4 days ago and never got an email back.

Please keep us posted when they get back to you. I couldn't see the picture either.

Would be nice if you could get those spindles that would allow you to use 1st gen style strange drag brakes, they're way cheaper then the 4th gen ones.

I have the AJE spindles, they use third gen brakes.

Here is what the AJE looks like, been to lazy to swap it all and I'm still up in the air about losing my power steering.

I would bet between my MS PA K-member/stock spindle/UMI CM lower arms/aerospace brakes and the CM AJE K-member/manual rack (and loosing the PS pump)/AJE lower arms/AJE spindles/wilwood 3rd gen brakes its less than 20 lbs difference total. I assume the PA ones are similar, not a huge weight savings but you can get a drop spindle and it looks better then the stock stuff anyhow. If you have a super low car the drop would be more important than the couple pounds of weight IMO.

i would guess a stock spindle is about 12-15 pounds each...never really weighted though...that part would be NICE for a bolt on change for lightening the front of your f-body...id be interested in what material its made from ect...some1 weight stock spindles!

I dont remember offhand, I had all the stuff off the car a while back and the spindle without the hub/bearing wasnt very heavy so I'm just going by feel. I am going to put one of these fabricated ones on a scale when i go to the garage later. I think they weigh more then the PA weight listed.

The AJE ones I have here are 10.5lbs each. If the PAs are indeed 6.5lbs then thats a pretty significant difference. I dont think these AJE's are much lighter than stock really, main reason I did them was for the drop if I mini tub the car.

I wasn't aware that AJE made a spindle too.. I was planning on doing their k memebr and upper/lower a arms adn manual rack all at once over the winter, the spindles would be nice, and if I could indeed bolt up 3rd gen brakes the cost savings over the 4th gen vs the 3rd gen (going with strange front and rear) would probably cover alot of the spindle cost.

Honestly I ordered all this over 4 months ago and I dont even remember what it all cost anymore, it came with wilwood brakes but its just a regular 3rd gen brake kit according to the part number. I would imagine you could use strange if you wanted to - I'm not real picky about matching front rear brakes.

I am not either, but beign able to lose some weight on the spindle, and save a bunch of $ over the 4th gen strange is a big deal. Just depends what the spindles cost.

this is very interesting...I like the fact they offer them with a 2" drop....question is what does it cost to have them set up for a 1st gen brake setup...

I used the AJE spindles on Pacos car. I wasnt impressed and spent alot of time reengineering them to get the travel etc correct. I havent seen the PA stuff so I dont know about the quality of theirs.
