Default Swap oil pan, swap windage tray too?

I am going from a truck pan to a GTO front sump pan for my chevy II. Is it manditory to change windage trays when swapping pans? Seems like the truck windage tray clears ok......input?

If it fits, then it fits.....

I would be most concerned with bolting on the new oil pump pickup and seeing how it works then.. Since the sump is in the front, then the pickup tube will go almost straight down from the oil pump. The truck sump is in the back, so there may not be clearance in the front of the tray for a pickup tube.

I can tell you that the truck tray and the CTS-V tray are exactly the same. But that's as far as my experience goes...

Thanks for the reply, I bolted the oil pump and pickup on today, and had no clearance issues. I did not put the pan on yet, have to replace the pump due to a stripped cover bolt, but I think it will fit just fine.
