it was a beautiful day with way to many cars. They run that place like crap.We spent almost 3 hours waiting to make a pass in lane 1,when lanes 3&4 they ran off at least 150 cars, there were so many drivers pissed off it was pathetic.

.

That's no P/M. Don't forget Matt redlighted by over 1.5 seconds.

I believe the weekday test & tune is done for the year, they have 1 more program in Oct for charity. It was supposed to be "dare" but I heard that was canceled. They kept the date for a w/e T & T, so maybe it will be less crowded if people think the charity canceled.

Ok, to clear everything up, the best my car did was a 11.71 @ 114.13. (It was HOT, DA was +1687) I red lit, but only .031, dick! The track was hooking great but the people running it yesterday didn't know what the **** they were doing. It was a HUGE clusterfuck. Pauly, Bill, and I ALMOST got kicked out for fighting with the officials over us paying $40 for two ******* runs when they promised us three. I guess it pays to have a multi million dollar dragster there

Thanks to Jim and his Dad for taking the pics. Thanks to Vince and...ummm, what's your boyfriend's name again? Oh, Andy, that's right That beer hit the spot at 10am and helped wash down the melted Snickers bar I had for breakfast.

I had good luck all year at Route 66 because I had been going on the days that had 85% chance of rain and not a lot of people showed up. I got about ten runs in each time, and then by 8pm, I was getting drunk in the stands No worries though. 41 is getting their timing system back and I am more than willing to make the 150 mile roundtrip there, then to only go two miles to Route 66 and pay more and get less runs.

flyinZ: There is only one more T&T at 66. It is October 13th, but good luck. They don't call it the "End Of The Year Blast" for nothing

I don't know when they will be starting the T&T. I know the clocks will be back on October 5th for SCC, so I assume every Sunday after that.

That is standard procedure for that place and the reason why I don't bother going there anymore. It's really too bad cause it's such a nice facility and the track always seems good.
You guys should have come up to GLD saturday. I got 7 runs in, could have made twice that many easily. I had to wait in the lanes about 45-50 minutes once but otherwise I don't think I waited more than 20-30 mins at any time. Track stayed open until 10:30pm. It was a very relaxing evening -lol.
Actually on second thought maybe you guys should all stay at Rt66...-lol

Usually Rt 66 isn't like that when I go, but like I said, I pick the days that no one else wants to go to. I always get about 8-10 runs in. I wouldn't have went this past Saturday if I didn't have a free rain check ticket and run card. Oh well, I got three runs in and know where my car sits for right now. I left early (about 1:30pm) because my back was so fucked up that I could barely get in and out of the car.

Matt, what brought you from 12.0s-11.9s down to an 11.71? I went there once and it sucked. Track was amazing though. 13.3 in a lid only car on stock tires in about 5000'+ DA (not to mention 2nd pass ever in my life).

I dropped about 100lbs and switched to a 90/90 intake/tb setup.

3150 with me and a half tank of gas. I still have to remove the heat, airbags, ABS, door bars, and then I am going with a lightweight k-member, a-arms, brakes, and lexan.
