Default '02 4L60e won't shift out of 2nd

When driving the car the other day, it wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear, so I stopped and restarted the car and it worked fine for the rest of the day. I had the line pressure increased at about 2500 miles, also the car has a 3500 yank converter, headers, cam, moser 12 bolt with 373 gears. Currently, the car has 14,000 miles on it. Could this problem be the upshift solenoids? This is the first tranny problem I've had. I also have a 4 inch deep aluminum pan and a large tranny cooler. The car is not abused, but it's run hard from time to time. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you scanned your computer for codes? This is the first thing that I would check. Also when this happened how were you driving the car? The reason that I ask is that your stall might have caused this problem.

yes, I was driving when it happened. I was merging onto the interstate and it wouldn't shift out of 2nd. I just drove it and all is okay. I've driven the car 80 miles since this happened, with no futher problems. I have had the stall for 4 years and it has 7200 miles on it. I will get it scanned sometime this week.
Thanks

I got the car scanned and the shift solenoid B circuit is stuck on. I drove the car another 20 or so miles and made some WOT passes through all four gears and everything is still fine. Shifts as firm as always. Maybe it was a glitch, I hope it was, but I doubt it.

If you want it to go away permanetly go to a tuner and have the test for PO757 remved its sounds like your getting the stall code as some call it, And odly it may not show up imediaty after a converter install and may take many miles or only do it under very specific conditions

That's the code number he told me. I will follow your instructions. I know a tuner who will do it for me.
Thank you, much appreciated

My $.02 is that my car did the same thing when I would stall it up above 3500ish, the only thing I do is when it happens I shut the car off and start it back up and all is well. I don't know about the solenoids but do you have a temp. gauge maybe it is overheating.

Normal driving the Trans temp on 88* day was 172* After a 135 mph pass it read 178* I've had the car since new and never a problem with trans failure.

Thanks
