ground clearance for hooker comp. headers
Hello everyone I am about 2 buy some LTs for my car but am stuck between coated pacesetters and hookers. BTW I have an '02 SS w/ a MS3 cam and eibach sportlines and SLP SFC. So, which ones are better? And is the ground clearance for hookers as good as pacesetters? BTW hooker comp. 1.75" COATED are going for $399 at Speed Inc. (Good price) So which one? Thanks in advance. -Justin

I love the fit and clearance of my Hookers....installation was a breeze, without removing the oil filter, steering knuckle, hell, I didn't even have to take the coils off and everything slid right in.

Thanks for the replies. The hooker headers I'm looking at supposedly has this "power spear" in the collector, similar to QTP's velocity spike. So for $399 coated, it seems like a great deal!

If the Hookers are still using the 5/16 flange then I say go with the Pace coated for 359. If Hooker is using the 3/8 flange like the Pace then I may would go for those.
I have already installed both and the Hookers are not better quality than Pace.
Also note the location of the o2 bungs. Most people prefer them on the inside like the Pace headers
