All right i am at a point with my vert that i want to put in sfc's. Does anybody know of a set that is bolt in. I have no way of welding these things in. I have checked bmr, slp,umi all weld in  . I know this topic has been discussed but I can not find a set that bolts in. I know you cant mention nonsponsers so please pm or email me(novacyko@comcast.net) with info on bol in sfc's. I am starting to make some power with the bolton mods and dont want to twist up my car.

YUP---weld is the only way...you could get bolt ons, and later get a exhaust shop to weld them in, also. :D

Just remember when welding in SFCs, make sure the shop that does it lifts the car on it's suspension, NOT by the frame. Optimal results are obtained w/ welded SFCs that are installed with the car's weight on the suspension.

Yes, but do to be extremely backed up they had to be put on hold so we could continue to fill orders. Now that the season has calmed down we got a chance to finish them. They are completed and pictures will be posted as soon as we get them back from powder coat.

We would like to have a 93-97 LT1 Convertible car for fitment verification. We have a one in the shop not to long ago and everything fit then, but we made some minor adjustments. I am pretty sure they are actually the same underneath but I would like to double check. So any LT1 Convertible guys I can make you a good deal :)

will they be a 2pt or a 3pt

The first ones to come out are the 2-Point version, hopefully to have a 3-Point version next. It will tough under the convertible chassis.

I can promise you man, that weld-ins are worth it. Honestly pay the lil money to take it a welder and have them put them on. Any exhaust shop could do it do. I've known a few that bolted them on, and if your lowered it will only cause you another headache. Plus I've heard they move if the bolt isn't LOCKED down.

Welding is the only way to go and its cheap to get them installed.

Just do it..

One tip of advice though when doing it is to paint the welds afterwards with several coats and then use 3m undercoat ONLY! Do NOT use the cheap rubberized undercoat it will flake off and your car will start rusting. I am talking from experience.

Also... make sure the folks welding them on grind down to bare shiny metal both on the chassis attachment AND on the SFC; trying to weld through the paint will give really poor results.

Weld on. Just do it. If you can spend the 200 or so the sfcs cost, you can afford another 50 or 60 bucks for the welding. Bolt-ons are cute, but if any bolt loosens, they are pretty much not doing what they are supposed to.

I will posting pictures tomorrow of the completed bolt on SFC's.

Price is $169.99 for weld in set and $189.99 for a bolt in set. Bolts in are a 100% bolt in and require no welding, grinding, cutting or drilling. They use already existing holes under the vehicle.

Thanks for the patiences!

Thankx, Ryan for your effort into the Fbody Vert SFC class. Looks clean and sturdy.
I personally thought they would be the 3-point SFC's...any chance there is a 3-point model comming out for the Vert anytime soon?

For what it's worth I have the bolt-in ones on my '97 Z. Installed them last week - didn't even know it, but I guess I'm one of the first. Wish I had seen this thread beforehand so that I could've gotten free shipping :bang: (not on this board much being an LT1 and all)

Anyway, the chassis does seem much stiffer now. The top seems to squeak and shimmy a lil more now though. Maybe it's that I'm just hearing it now b/c it's not being drowned out by the chassis squeaking or b/c earlier the chassis and top flexed as one and now since the chassis is stable, there's only the top left to flex. I also bolted in new LCA's and I also have the UMI strut tower brace, so that could also be adding to the "stiffness" feeling. I love it though and the car seems to launch better w/ better traction.
