Default LS1 Engine Swap 98+ F-Body - How To?

I am looking for a write up or How To guide on engine removal and re-installation.

So far I have stripped the current motor down to the shortblock minus the A/C.

Using the Search I could only find a broken link regarding Vettes.

Any help appreciated, thanks

most guys/gals drop the k-member...

About the best advioce I can give from doing numerous other swaps is just disconnected/un-bolt anything that stops it from coming out,lol

Ill be taking it out from the top.

Ive been catching a lot of tidbits of info over the past few years in various threads of ppls experiences, and i am looking for something more concrete and thorough

Try sending ChevyChad a PM. He took his motor & tranny out the top & put it back in that way too I believe. If you got it stripped down that far thru the top is the fastest route.
