between 10.50-10.80 et with mild mods-some with good heads while others with just a good cam selection while using a good clutch or auto-
unsure on the mph-

yes, in a ford fairmont.
stock 5.3 truck motor, only ls6 cam and springs. mp70 turbo at 14psi. 604rwhp on a dynojet, 9.96@137.
good thing about the fairmont is it's a fox body. easy to hook with just a few bolt on parts. not even as light as you might think. 3200 with driver. bigest help i would say is a trans brake and a 2 step. we launch under full boost.

All heads cam guys are not in the tens easily, if they are in the tens they have done alot more than you think. Most likely it's a very extreme setup. It's not just hp either, most of the cam/heads cars in the tens have massive weight reduction.

I am in the tens with around 500 to 520 hp and a little P-1SC! My car is full weight and still has A/C.
Like Rufretic said the Heads/Cam cars that are in the tens do it by a huge gear, weight reduction, big stall, 28" or bigger tires sometimes, and/or higher than average compression. Not saying that all of them are like that but look at the vast majority of them and you can usually pick one or more things from that list that contribute to them running in the tens.

you can go as low as 350hp and hit a 10.99 in a 4thgen.. but at that point you have a extreme weight reduction, drag only car.
add a little weight for a nicer interior, and you need over 400...
add a little to the 60' from a non-perfect drag suspension, and you need a tad more for the top end.
for a car that you're probably thinking of.. a street car with AC, but some drag mods... you'd need a mid 500s to hit it easily... depending on alot of variables.. thats just a guess..
if you want a "almost stock, 1.7-ish 60' " car to run 10s, you're looking at 600+... because theres so much catchup work to do at the big end of the track.
