Question y-pipe question?

Will any aftermarket y-pipes work with stock manifolds?

Yes most exhaust companies make a cat delete y pipe to bolt up to the stock manifolds.

not so fast - the SLP stock replacement Y pipe will bolt right up to the stock cats and manifolds on 00-02 models (and will give you 0.036 more RWHP and a slightly louder exhaust for 200 bucks).

ya the 98-99 slp needs to be welded and the 00-02 cam be bolted up. mac makes one that eliminates the cats too and would give more power then the slp one and is the same price. but then you might need o2 simulators which are 100 or a getting them tuned out.

The SLP stock replacement Y pipe is good for only 2 horses at best. The major stock restriction is the manfolds.

I'm sure it will work. My buddy has a TSP 3" Y-pipe fit right into his stock headers (CATS and all). Of course the shop had to do a little bit of pipe "reshaping", but it's definitely possible.
