LS7 clutch problems?

LS7 clutch problems? Well, it's finally time for me to replace my spec 3 (over 20k miles on it) and I was looking to get an LS6 or LS7 clutch kit. This thread isn't about "which clutch should I buy?", but about finding out who has had trouble with the LS7 clutch. I know I had read several threads of guys having trouble with the LS7 kits when they came out, but I can't find them now. Is there anyone experiencing problems with the LS7 kits (I know you have to buy the LS2 flywheel)? If so, what exactly are the problems?

I have only compliments for the LS7 clutch. What I hate is the LS2 flywheel because it's heavier than lead. Going from a Spec 3f w/aluminum fw to that Ls2 iron slug didn't do it for me. So it all depends on what your current setup is and if you mind or not the additional mass on your driveline.
Getting ready to swap out the flywheel for a Fidanza aluminum (12.5 lbs) but trying to figure out if the clutch itself can be re-installed with a new flywheel without problems.

Nah, don't worry about it.
Well, I actually plan to drive the car a lot more on the street, so I'm assuming the heavier FW will inprove street manners. Is that the case after installing it?

I love mine & I think the heavier flywheel helped improve shifting in traffic & high RPM's. It is holding strong on my current H/C combo. The clutch itself has been in for a year without a single issue. And I drive on average about 300+ miles per week.

Hmmm, I could have sworn reading threads about guys having problems with this clutch kit when it first came out. I guess I was wrong since everybody seems to not have any problems. I would hate to buy this clutch, then find that people are having certain issues I wasn't expecting. Anyone else?

I have noticed in alot of the threads with people having issues they either messed with the master or just didn't install it correctly.
My car is a 99' & when I installed my clutch my master was working fine, so I left it alone. Removed my stock clutch & slave, my pilot bearing was still good too so we left it alone & then just installed the LS7/LS2 combo just like a OEM clutch. No suprises & very straight forward install. Bled it with a mityvac & haven't touched it since.

question i drive mine only weekends and want to strickly leave at around 5-6k at the track will it hold this kind of abuse the ls7? and as well as leaving on a 175 shot!!!! or do i need to look fuerther up the clutch ladder im ready to buy monday....
