Default Clunk when accel and decel! Any ideas?

Ever since i got the 9" in there is slack so when i press the pedal you can feel it clunk and as soon as you let off it clunks. Its not a loud noise but you can feel it. My buddy thought it was the rearend moving or twisting back and forth. Maybe the lca's arent adjusted correctly?
Any other ideas? At first i thought it was something to do with the locker but its gotta be something else.

Thanks

It is your locker... and it's typical of 'Dovetail' mechanisms. Dont worry about it, it's normal.

Ok, its normal to see your shiter move back and forth some at the same time too? How is this good on them from a dead stop to a 3000rpm+ launch if there is slack?

Sounds like it could be a bad tranny mount or even torque arm mount. Check both of those first...

No the mount on the transmission is loose/shot/worn i think. The rearend mount is tight i put that on myself.

If it was a moser 12 bolt, the bolts are notorios to loosen over time, but being that you have a 9" you dont have to worry about that.

i know you seem to have found the problem in the mounts, but it sure seems like a loose Driveshaft to me where it mounts to the rear end. might be worth a check

Mine did the same thing when I still had the stock l.c.a.'s on the car. I ended up tearing the bushing apart. Now I have double adj. l.c.a's on the car and it still does it but no where as bad. I think it is the locker in my car now that is doing it.
