One amazing C5 Z06!!!
I have been drooling over the C5Z since, oh say, 2001 or so. Earlier I was browsing CorvetteForum.com for information on the MCM hood and I stumbled across this beauty. It belongs to CF.com member "perfectlyfrank" in IL. I love the painted SP500s and the hood (even though it's not electron blue)...

wow, nice car, although I hate the whole carbon fiber look, if that is in fact what he was trying to do....looks cheap. it would look better if it were just black.....or even just the whole hood red

The hood is carbon. The dark area was not sprayed red, but was cleared with the rest of the hood. I think it looks great. I think it looks better than the "carbon fiber" decals on the [carbon] hood that's on the Z16 vette.

Im not a big fan of the carbon look. I know that the hood is carbon, which is fine, but the ONLY thing I would have done differently would be to paint the carbon section black.
Doesn't matter, carbon or not, one of the sexiest C5's out there.

Its nice, Im not sure if like the top part of the hood, but the underside looks pimp. Wheels are obviously nice along with the rest of the car like everyone else said. I like the little things, like the mesh grill at the bottom corners, the tinted driving lights/blinkers, and of course the rotors. Nice and clean....hope he drives it
