Clutch swap on a 03 cobra T56

Default Clutch swap on a 03 cobra T56

Ive done a handful of clutch swaps in a fbody t56 but im doing my buddies cobra and i wanted to know if u guys have any tips or anything im sure its pretty much the same thing. but just wanted to know exactly how that **** works with the ccable driven **** now that its not the hydraluics with the slave cylinder.

Its very basic and non adjustable in stock form . Personally I would install an adjustable cable , fire wall adjuster and quadrant under the dash . I also like to use a heat sleeve on the cable to reduce the heat on it from the headers .

As for adjusting it , take all the slack out of the cable and add just a little preload but not so much that the clutch slips on you .

how the **** do i get this starter off of the bellhousing i cant get the third bolt?

You have to use a long *** extension and go from the front of the engine under the oil pan .

Yep thats how to do it. Also once you have the clutch in you have to side-step it to get it to fully engage, not sure if that is just for the clutch we installed or all of them.
