They are red, not 100% sure if ports match though.

The ports and plenum of the LT4 intake are the same as the late LT1 intake, the difference is in the amount of material above the port. The LT4 heads had taller ports and that extra material is needed to seal well too them and also leaves opportunity for port matching. If you try and put an LT4 intake on LT1 heads though that extra material interferes with the valve cover rail. Two options then have the heads machined so the rail is thinner, or machine that extra material off the LT4 intake effectively making it an expensive red LT1 intake ruining all potential it may have had. Basically you are looking to waste time and money, you want a red intake get an LT1 one coated or painted. I painted mine with parts store sourced engine enamal and it looks decent, went with black, then cleared the raised ribs on top. A friend did the work when mid project we hit a parts snag and he got bored.

It could be an LT1 intake painted red.

The LT4 intake is worth something since GM stopped making them. Had you come across it say in early spring before Edelcrap released their it would have been worth a lot. Still would not suprize me if you could get a couple hundred out of it.
