Default What do you think i will run?

Last October, with my 2002 Trans Am i ran a 13.3 @ 108 with a 2.2 60 ft At the time all i had was Full Exhaust.. LTs and True Duals (H Pipe) lid and K&N air filter. That was it. And my stock LS6 clutch was slipping too.

So it is that time to go to the track again. The 21st of Cotober. Same car, all that changed was cam.. 228/232 .588/.595 110+4, P&P TB, ASP UDP, WS6 hood WITH the WS6 lower air box... Same slipping LS6 clutch and same tires as last year

so what do you guys think that will run? Oh and i have all the FREE MODS too.

HP numbers are in sig

12.8 @ 113

*And for the record, (no offense to you) I am tired of these "What will I run" threads. Just take your ******* car to the track and see what it runs. Because if it doesn't run what someone on the net says it should, then you create one of those, "Why is my car so slow" threads. ******* stupid!

Ok, I'm done ranting and going back to bed.

LOL Matt.... I was wondering what the bench racers were going to say.... i would be happy if i get into the 12's. but i know that if i dont i am not going to be mad. I have A) slipping clutch B) street tires, no DRs and C) a weak *** 10 bolt

that is all

A local guy here with H/C car ran a 12.5 @ 115 last week at Memphis with stock 16X8's and street tires. I was impressed with how he was launching the car.....no spin at all. Granted he was in the 2.1 to 2.2 60' range, but very impressive for street tires nonetheless. I'd say you'll run some really good trap speeds and high 12's. Good luck!

just run your street tires the way that you would run them on the street man. Unfortunately, im with Matt D on this one, 12.8 @ 113 sounds just about right. I know this bc i went the same route with my car when it was cam only, lol Once you get your setup dialed in further, the et's will just drop and drop and drop..

It happens with every 400rwhp 6 speed car with a stock 10 bolt. The mph is there but the E.T. isn't due to the lack of launching the car. There should be a sticky saying, "Want to know what your car will run? Step Inside." And then we can list all of these things. Oh, who am I kidding, no one reads those.

if your car doesnt run 12's you need to trade back in for that mustang........ or let me drive.
or you could just stage like jay and make the track shorter.
