Default Gibson exhaust?

Has anyone tried the Gibson exhaust on a Fbody? Is it louder than stock?

Default

I have one on a Silverado. Started out with aluminized, but the muffler rusted out(too many trips to the saltwater boat ramp) and rust is the only thing the aluminized isn't guaranteed for. Gibson was nice enough to give me credit for the aluminized system and I paid the difference to upgrade to stainless. If you're near saltwater go with stainless. The sound is teriffic, but I have a big cam, CNCed heads, Pacesetter Long Tubes w/OR "Y" pipe, etc. It lopes at idle, but when you put pedal to the metal watch out. Upramps to the expressway are kick ***. All that exhaust note echoing off of the concrete ramp walls is enough to wake up the dead. I can't count the times I've looked in my rear view mirror as I pull away from a stop sign or red lite only to see someone shaking their fist at me for scaring the hell out of them as I accelerate. Pricless!
