t56 manual trans? the t56 trans that comes in a gto are they the same as a fbody piece? can get a good deal on a gto trans and wanted to know if they are the same.

They will interchange as long as you use your F body shift lever and shifter . Internally the are the same basic trans except the gear ratio and syncro designs are different .
