Could be rings. Might try some engine honey. Just a suggestion.

White smoke=coolant, maybe a little head gasket leak? Does your oil look milky?

no my oil looks fine. it just burns up fast, i think im gonna get the new designed pcv valve and a catch can and see what that does. i cant see how an engine with 14000 miles on it could have a problem with the rings im not even hard on the car.

Question Smoke?

What does the smoke smell like. If it's an oil smell then you will know what route to take on finding the problem.

valve seals i currently have the same problem
if you want to double check, take out each spark plug, and check if you find any oil on it. if so...
piston rings (just a suggestion) so don't worry about that

Mine was doing the same exact thing. Checked the spark plugs, #7 alot darker than the rest (oil), did the compression test and leak down test ... confirmed . Either I have bad rings or there are holes in my piston . BTW my car has 20k miles on it, plus the weather is getting cool enough to have the t-tops off ... not this year!!

what kind of oil do you use ???? Do an oil change . Try some 0-30 german castrol and a good filter K&N long one. This helped mine alot. If you can not find that oil use the 40 weight mobil 1 extended.

I have the same problem with my car. It seemed to smoke quite a bit when I ripped on it after driving it calmly for about 2 weeks. I used the ls6 pcv and catchcan from the ws6store and it seems to have calmed it down a little bit. I was told by some old hotrod guy that if it smokes when the car is idling down it is the valve seals and if it smokes when you mash it, it is the rings. I go through 1-1.5ish qts depending on how rough I am on the car.

One way to check if it's the valve seals is to coast down from high RPMs and look for any smoke. The vacuum from the engine will pull the oil into the chamber and burn it. They are not that hard to replace...but it's part of the head so maybe get some new AFRs...hehe.
