will a t56 6 speed bolt to the back of a 400 sbc!!!!

Default will a t56 6 speed bolt to the back of a 400 sbc!!!!

just like the title says.i want to know if it will bolt up so i can build a turbo coupe.

if u get the right bell housing
i know a t55 from kaiser fit to my 400 in my 69

so if i get the lt1 t56 it will work,i guess i should also use the lt1 bell houseing.i was told it is a basic small block anyway and had the same bolt patteren.

so is this true,that lt1's have the same bolt pattern as a basic sbc.

That's what I've heard and the lt1 t56 has a shorter input shaft than the ls1 t56.

LT1 = SBC with fancy ignition system, better heads that are reverse flow, and thats about it. So yea, LT1 6 speed and bellhousing will bolt right up

Good info, looking into putting a T-56 behind a BBC, and found this seems to be the easiest way. Any special clutch or flywheel you have to buy?
